The club is situated in the North East of England and serves the area of East Cleveland. It has a powered flying site near Guisborough catering for both fixed wing and helicopters. Other flying sites are available to members across Cleveland and North Yorkshire catering for electric flight, slope and flat field gliding. The Club is an affiliated member of the BMFA

This web Site still needs input from members as well as committee to maintain the interest of all. Therefore if any member has any model flight related articles, hints and tips, pictures, projects, links or anything else they think would be of interest please submit them via email guisboroughmfc@live.co.uk and we will endeavor to publish within these pages.

VULCAN lecture

I have been asked by the Institution of Engineering & Technology to give some idea of GMFC members intending to go to the Vulcan lecture at Teesside University next Wednesday. If you intend to go please let me know by e-mail or phone (01287 632398) as soon as possible so I can inform the IET.

The lecture is on Wed. April 21st in the Stephenson Building lecture theatre [ Innovation Building 11 on the Teesside University map ].

Please note that the event will start promptly at 7pm and is expected to conclude no later than 9:00pm. You should allow sufficient time for parking and should share transport if practicable.

Existing members who wish to obtain their BMFA subscription through the Club must pay the appropriate Club and BMFA fee by the end of the February Club meeting. Members who renew their Club subscription after that date will be responsible for obtaining their own BMFA membership.

The BMFA basic public liability cover is effective from the date of joining until the end of the current membership year. After 31 st. December, members are not insured to fly until their BMFA subscription has been renewed.

Consequently, members who have not paid their BMFA subscription and/or their Club fees will not be permitted to fly on any Club site.
